Description

These teriyaki salmon bites are a quick, healthy and flavorful entree ready in under 30 minutes on the stovetop or in the air fryer.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/4 cup liquid aminos
  • zest of 1 lime
  • 1/4 cup fresh lime juice
  • 1 Tbs honey
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 tsp ginger paste or minced fresh ginger *see note
  • 12lbs fresh wild caught salmon, cut into 2 inch pieces

Instructions

  • In a small mixing bowl combine 1/4 cup liquid aminos (or soy sauce), the zest of 1 lime, 1/4 cup fresh lime juice, 1 Tbs honey, 1 minced garlic clove and 1 tsp ginger paste.  Whisk to combine.
  • Cut 1 – 2lbs of fresh salmon into 2 inch pieces. Add the fish to the marinade and toss so that all of the pieces are coated.  Let the fish marinate for 10 minutes.

If using an air fryer:

  • Preheat air fryer to 400°F for 10 minutes.
  • Place marinated salmon in a single layer in the air fryer basket, leaving space between pieces.
  • Cook for 4 minutes, until salmon is caramelized and crispy.
  • Work in batches if needed to avoid overcrowding the basket.

If cooking on the stovetop:

  • Preheat a large skillet over medium heat and add 1 tablespoon of avocado or coconut oil.
  • Use tongs to place marinated salmon pieces in the pan, ensuring they’re spaced out.
  • Cook salmon for 2-3 minutes per side, until crispy and glazed.
  • Work in batches if needed to avoid overcrowding the pan.

Notes

I find ginger paste in the produce section at my local grocery store.
